Dan Dunn made 37 saves as fourth-ranked St. Cloud State beat Wisconsin 5-1 Friday despite being outshot 38-24 by the Badgers.
Dunn, whose last defeat was a 4-1 loss to Wisconsin on Nov. 21, stopped 14 shots in the final period to keep his unbeaten streak alive.
The win helps the Huskies keep pressure on Denver for first place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. St. Cloud State trailed the Pioneers by one point.
Wisconsin, meanwhile, had its season-best three-game winning streak snapped.
Ryan Lasch had a goal and an assist and Drew LeBlanc had two assists for the Huskies (20-9-4, 15-7-3). It was Lasch’s 50th career multi-point game.
Lasch made it 1-0 late in the first period, but Derek Stepan tied it for the Badgers (18-8-4, 13-7-3) just 31 seconds into the second period.
Garrett Roe put the Badgers ahead to stay less than two minutes later, and Ben Hanowski and Tony Mosey scored moments apart in the last two minutes of the period.
Brian Volpei scored the only third-period goal for St. Cloud State, which came back strong from last week’s 8-1 loss to North Dakota.
Scott Gudmundson had 19 saves for Wisconsin.
